Kalle Hakosalo presents a performative solo concert that traces the expansive roles assumed by the contemporary percussionist. The performer exhibits himself as an autobiographical archivist of digital waste, an accelerated executant speedrunning dadaist rituals, a vessel for gamified audience participation, and a sculptor of drums.

Program:

Celeste Oram: O I [2016]
Igor Silva: Your Trash [2016]
Mark Applebaum: Echolalia [2016]
Anna Sowa: Auf Fotos sieht die Familie am besten aus [2021]
Kalle Hakosalo: Your wish is my command [2021]

Performed by Kalle Hakosalo [percussion].

MINU_festival_for_expanded_music is a Copenhagen-based festival presenting art on the borders of new music and other media. The festival seeks to expand the definition of music through presenting the unmusical as musical. It is a space for oscillating between extremes and charting relationships between art, technology, and contemporary culture. November 9-13th 2022, the festival returns to Frederiksberg and Copenhagen for its second edition, featuring concerts, performance lectures, and a conference for young artists.

MINU 2022 has only one kind of ticket available: a festival ticket that gives access to all concerts on the festival.
It’s important for us to present events that are accessible to everyone regardless of financial means. The festival ticket is priced at 100/200 kr. We want to encourage audiences to visit multiple events, therefore access to all concerts on the festival is included when you purchase a ticket.

MINU 2022 is realised with support from Nordic Culture Point, A.P. Møller Fonden, William Demant, Det Obelske Familiefond, Knud Højgaards Fond, Kaptajn Aage Nielsens Familiefond, Sonning Fonden, KODA Kultur, Frederiksberg Kommune.
